Toxins, Dangers and Hazards

...and ways to avoid them

  • Avoid Omega-6 Polyunsaturated oils.
  • Do not use pans and pots with teflon-like surfaces.
  • Do not use toothpaste or mouthwash with fluoride.
  • Do not let the dentist put silver amalgam fillings (with mercury) in your mouth.
  • Avoid aluminum-containing under-arm deodorants and anti-perspirants.
  • Buy organic foods and products preferentially.
  • Stay away from chlorinated tap water.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners, including aspartame.
  • Avoid sodium nitrite (found in processed meats).
  • Avoid MSG - monosodium glutamate - (found in soups and Asian food).
  • Avoid yeast extract (found in snacks).
  • Avoid high-fructose corn syrup (used as a sweetener in syrups, ketchup and sauces).
  • Quit smoking if you smoke and do not spend time with smokers. If you see an adult smoking near a child, call the police or your local child protective services.
  • If you spend most of your time indoors, check your home and office and remove hidden sources of strong electromagnetic (EM) fields,
  • eliminate indoor air pollution with a good air purifier.
  • Regarding microwave ovens: Many in the alternative health community feel that microwaved food is dangerous. Because it heats unevenly and may denature certain nutrients, I certainly wouldn't recommend microwaving breast milk in order to thaw it or warm it. I personally feel that microwaved food is generally less appetizing than conventionally cooked foods. However, I have yet to find any real evidence that microwaved foods are especially toxic or otherwise harmful. If you know of evidence beyond the Hertel claims, please let me know. One should ensure that their microwave oven is not leaking microwave radiation.
I recommend:

Fluoride free toothpaste

Natural Deodorant

EM Meter

Air Purifier
