Ferritin
Ferriting is a marker of iron levels; low is better to a point). many people use IP6 (or Phytate) to lower their high iron levels. IP6 is a natural heavy metal chelator, binding to free heavy metals in your body and removing them. Alternatively, some people have their blood drawn regularly, a practice which can reduce blood iron to preferred levels. Female menstruation is thought by some to be beneficial to health for the same reason.

Glucose and Insulin (involved in diabetes)
Read about and understand the term Glycemic Index (GI) in order to reduce the Glycemic Index of your diet. This will reduce your blood glucose and insulin, reduce your oxidative stress, and increase your chances for a longer, healthier life. Ask your doctor about taking Glucophage to reduce blood sugar and insulin levels and to reduce the waistline. There are some who feel that everybody over age 40 should be taking it.

HDL and LDL
The erroneously-named "good cholesterol", or
HDL, may benefit us slightly if raised by exercise, dietary intervention or the intake of high doses of Vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 is Niacin, and the regular flushing kind is the most effective substance, natural or man-made, for raising HDL. Take it after your largest meal to reduce the flushing effect, which should go away after about two weeks. Do not worry about your LDL levels (there is no such thing as "bad" cholesterol, and drugs to reduce it serve only the drug companies).

Fish Oil
Virgin Coconut Oil

Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is caused by many things including chronic dehydration, mineral deficiencies, and can be a symptom of advanced cardiovascular disease, but it is not itself a disease and it is being over diagnosed and over treated as if it were an independent disease. It is probably wiser to try to identify the cause of the high blood pressure and treat the cause, if needed, rather than to just reduce the blood pressure. Don't you think?

Other Tests:
Do regular self-screenings (skin, breast, testicular, etc.), get regular dental checkups and cleaning, and regular medical checkups. However, understand the limitations of any determinations or advice you are given (limitations due to greed, a lack of knowledge, and the constant threat of malpractice), and get a second opinion if there is any doubt.
